Roman has suggested a London Scrum Gathering in February 2010 and he is currently acting as Product Owner for the initiative. More details will be added here incrementally but, for starters:

Contents

Goal

To provide and enhance networking and learning opportunities for Scrum Practitioners in London

Theme

We will create a theme from the early suggestions of areas of interest from the LSUG members

Structure

This will be a one day event and have between 1 and 3 tracks Current suggestions for tracks are:

  • CSM (Beginner & Intermediate)
  • CSPO (Beginner & Intermediate)
  • CSD (Beginner & Intermediate)

The day will be a mixture of presentations and interactive, workshop-style sessions

Submissions

We will be gathering input from the LSUG members as to what areas of interest they have and this will guide the submission process. When somebody wishes to submit a proposal, they will be invited to present, in "lightning talk" format, at the LSUG meetings and voted on by the attendees present. We will also be inviting suggestions for keynote speaker(s) from the LSUG members

Venue

We are looking into this but the aim is for it be central, big enough for up to 100 people but with break out rooms for the tracks.

Sponsorship

We will be looking for sponsorship from local companies using Scrum.
